A new opinion poll indicates that a majority of the people in the United States are not in favor of the policies of US President Barack Obama’s administration.
The survey, conducted by IFOP (French Institute of Public Opinion) on December 15-18, was based on telephone interviews with 1,005 American adults and its results were released on January 7, 2013.
The results showed that 77 percent of the respondents did not agree with Obama administration’s policies and believed that the government’s policies are detrimental to the United States.
The poll also indicated that only 19 percent of the participants the US government’s policies were not detrimental to the country.
This comes as another survey conducted by Gallup on January 7-10 indicated that 86 percent of Americans also disapprove of the performance of the US Congress.
The opinion poll was conducted nearly a week after the Congress and President Barack Obama agreed on legislation that avoided the end-of-year ‘fiscal cliff’ in part.
